Make Your Voice Heard on Transportation Improvements in Atlanta
In the summer of 2012, metro Atlanta voters will have the opportunity to vote on a one-cent sales tax to provide funding for all modes of transportation for a ten-year period. For the ten-county metro area, this mechanism could raise $6-8 billion for transportation improvements in the Atlanta region. The project list will be finalized this fall, and you have a chance next week to make your voice heard on what projects will make the list.
Please join State Senator Jason Carter, Representative Pat Gardner, and neighborhood leaders onTuesday, July 12, from 6 to 8 pm at Westminster Presbyterian Church, located at 1438 Sheridan Road, NE, Atlanta, where possibilities and options for the Clifton Corridor will be discussed.
