HEADS-UP FOR RESIDENTS OF DRUID HILLS IN THE CITY LANDMARK DISTRICT!

Three years ago, the City of Atlanta Urban Design Commission initiated a text amendment project to clarify and simplify historic and landmark district ordinances. In less than a month, the Druid Hills Landmark District ordinance will come up for neighborhood review.

Please take the time to read the executive summary that appears on the DHCA website, as well as the Tree and Landmark District ordinances to which there are links (City of Atlanta Municode). The full text amendment also is posted. City of Atlanta residents should have received a copy of the executive summary by mail.

The DHCA board will discuss and vote on the amendment at its November 20 meeting, 7:30pm at St. John’s Lutheran Church (Ponce at Oakdale).  We urge you to come to the meeting to join the discussion! Feel free to email atlantahistoric@druidhills.org with questions beforehand.
